Thao, for winning the prestigious national Young Scholars award from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. PaChia and another student were two of 75 recipients selected from a competitive national pool of over 1,000 applicants, six of whom
are from the Breakthrough St. Paul Program. Thank you Hmong Parents, staff and Title I for making the Hmong
New Year at the Cleveland-South campus a success. A wonderful program
was planned with performance that included traditional Hmong
instruments and dances as well as modern dances that featured break
dancing. Parents, students and staff traveled to Cape Canaveral for the STS-126 shuttle launch at Kennedy Space Center on November 13-18. Endeavor launched on Nov.  | | The crew of STS-126 is ready for the November 14 launch! | 14 at 6:55 pm. The launch of Space Shuttle Endeavor featured St. Paul native Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper. Several
students joined in with Dr. Vincent and Mrs. Wall to view the final
t-shirt with every 2007-2008 students and staff name on the front and
back. The t-shirt went on the STS-126 to space with Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper, a St. Paul native. The Launch was November 14, 2008 and we can't wait 'til it returns home. Sixth
grade students and parents may put an order for the slideshow video
that was presented during the sixth grade celebration last school year,
2007-08. Mr. Xiong will make as many DVD as needed.More School News... Notify
the school or send a note to school with your child the next day if
he/she is  | | Students looking to find their name in the t-shirt that will travel to space! | ill. We are striving for perfect attendance.
