| Welcome to room 102! |  | Welcome to first grade. We've done a lot this year already. Make sure to check back for updated information.
Reading:
Encourage your child to read at home. Also, discuss the
stories you are reading at home. We are working on characters,
setting and the main points from the beginning, middle and end of the
story. Encourage your child to share any story maps they bring
home.
Math: We are adding coins and making coin exchanges. We are counting quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. We
are learning to tell time on the hour, half hour and quarter hour.
Homework Packets:
Please make sure that your child's homework packet is completed and turned in every Friday.
Spelling Words:
Please continue to work with your child on their spelling words. We have a test every Friday.
