My name is Mrs. Popa and I work with Ms. Lindner (1st grade), Mrs. Nguyen (2nd grade), and Ms. McWatt (3rd grade). I am teaching whole groups and Guided Reading small groups, using the Reading First collaborative model. This is my second year at Farnsworth Aerospace, after teaching for ten years at Parkway Elementary, in St. Paul. My educational experience also includes teaching in Romania and England. I am excited to introduce different genres and themes to my students and expose them to a variety of texts. Some strategies we are working on this year are: prediction, questioning, summarizing, and clarifying.
