Welcome to fall! What an exciting time of year when the leaves are turning colors and falling off of the trees. Be sure to point out these seasonal changes to your child.
During writers workshop we are working on focusing in on 'small moments' and writing about them. This week we have been working on apples and next week we'll be reading the story, 'When Sophie Gets Angry.' Try asking your child what they have been writing about in school.
We are working very hard during readers workshop! We finished our stories, 'Little Bears,' and 'Itch! Itch!' We have moved onto the song, 'Let's Sing It,'which involves counting 1-10 forwards and backwards.
Every day we have worked with our calendar learning our: days of the week, months of the year, what date of the month it is. We also working on counting by 1's, 5's and 10's, we are learning how to tally and make bar graphs about the weather.

trips or to stop in to say "hi" and spend some time with us at school.
