 | | Mr. Xiong on the Para Slide (Zip Line), simulating the last 50ft of a parachute descent to water | Message from Mr. Xiong: Welcome back to another school year, 2008-09! Many changes have been made as we expanded our aerospace program to the Cleveland site.
Currently, I am between the two campuses. In the mornings, I am at
Cleveland and in the afternoons, I'm at Farnsworth. At Cleveland, I'm
team teaching with Mr. Carr as well as integrate technology into the
classroom with the wireless carts for both the fifth and sixth grade
classes. It keeps me busy for sure.
Hmong New Year is just
around the corner, Friday, November 21st. Hope to see all of you there
in your Hmong clothes or in good spirits. Program starts at 6:00 PM
and runs 'til 8:00 pm with a light dinner served to participants.
I had a busy summer. The last week of June, I went to San Antonio, TX for a computer conference (NECC). A lot was learned and will be shared in the classroom with students. My wife and I traveled to Vietnam, Laos and Thailand in the month of July and had a really good time. She received a Funds for Teachers grant and traveled with a colleague while I went for moral support. Email me with your summer fun...
Parents,
if you would like to volunteer in the computer lab, please don't
hesitate to E-mail or call Mr. Xiong.
Thanks for visiting!
