On October 4 we went on a riverboat to learn about history, biology and environmental science. We had great weather and a superior learning time. See our photos.

We planted native flowers and grasses around Casey Lake to improve the habitat for insects, reptiles, amphibians and birds. We hope that this lake will look like Phalen Lake, which we have been working on with Sage Passi, for 3 years

We had a good time feasting after a long bus ride.
      
Mr. Scott Cleland- visiting artist
He is the man who knows all there is to know about
the history of the alphabet and its fonts through the ages. Mr.
Cleland can write your tax bill in cuneiform with a stick and a
"pillow" of clay, in hieroglyphics on papyrus paper with a feather pen
dipped in ink, or in many ancient and modern fonts on handmade
paper. If you have the time, he could chisel the account into
marble and gild it with a fine layer of gold leaf.
