Welcome to Farnsworth Aerospace
We are Farnsworth Aerospace!!  The last day for students is Thursday, June 5!
Our mission is to provide challenging academics that will prepare the next generation of explorers.  Our school community will inspire students and their families to examine, understand and protect our planet and beyond.

Summer school session begins June 16-July 18.  Please call the school for bus routes and class time.  Breakfast is provided for all kids 18 years old and under.

June 9-11: Aerospace training for PreK-8 staff at St. Thomas University.  All returning staff from both the Farnsworth and Cleveland schools will be at St. Thomas for three days of training.  See pictures below.

Sixth grade students and parents may put an order for the slideshow video that was presented during the sixth grade celebration.  Mr. Xiong will make as many DVD as needed.  Thank you FSA for setting up punch and cupcakes for our departing sixth graders.

A Memorial Day celebration was held to honor our veterans and loved ones.  An assembly featured Iraq War veteran David Carlson and a performance

A magnolia tree was planted outside the Ivy entrance in remembrance of Joshua and Amanda Xiong.
from Mr. McGee's band highlighted the event.  A special ceremony was held in honor of Chu Joshua and Ia Amanda Xiong where a Magnolia tree was planted outside the Ivy entrance with cooperation from all fourth grade students and relatives of the family.  Additonal resources about Memorial Day may be obtained from Education World.

Our 2008 band/vocal Spring Concert was on Thursday, May 15th.  Only 4th, 5th and 6th graders performed.  There was a 2:00 pm assembly for the whole school and then a 6 pm concert for families and the community.  It was a well-prepared concert and we had a few former students returned for the event.  Thanks for your support!!

Science Fair mania!!  Wednesday, May 14 we had all students in grades 3-6th present their science experiment to our judges.  Presentations began at 9:30 am.  Here are the grand prize winners:

Day 2: We went on field trips (U of M-AEM bldg and Holmen airfield. Another group stayed back and worked on an astronaut challenge with Mrs. Wall and Moon Craters with Mr. Fitzgerald.

Day 1: Staff from both Farnsworth and Cleveland school participated in a three day training on Aerospace and Aviation. Mr. Fitzgerald educational specialist from GRC, Janise and Darlene from MN DOT and Dennis Yeager came and presented to us.

Retired astronaut, "Digger" Duane Carey visited our school and showed exclusive videos of his past mission to space. Thank you for visiting and making our day feel special. It was awesome!!

Engineer Family Night

Space Camp 2007
